I'm guessing no one is going to read this but I'm going to put it out here anyhow. As a very young (19) self trained 'artist' I have often struggled with keeping my so called creative juices flowing. I spend a lot of my time inside my own head, Imagining, analyzing my self awareness and trying to break the dams my own mind has thrown up after the traumatic changes that happen in this thing we call 'life'. Some might say, that I should use my art to express these feelings about what I've been through and so on, so forth. Any artist of any type knows this is easier said than done. Some events cause blockages in the artistic soul, preventing proper expression, and hindering artistic evolution. This is what I call an art block. I've thought about it for some time and I have decided to set myself a series of challenges designed to help me use my talent to discover and reconnect with my 'creative subconscious' (as cliche as that sounds). I have always been a private person, doing private things in a private way. I want to share this with anyone who shares these personal artistic challenges. I only have two which I had thought of just tonight. I'll share with you any more that crawl into my head.

Ideas for artistic challenges and projects in self discovery and subconscious awakening of the creative process :

I. Using any medium or mixed media of personal choice, create a self portrait that expresses the inner world of the artist and how they see themselves at this point in time,

II. Using any medium or mixed media of personal choice, create a piece from a still life photograph containing objects from the artists life that are apart of their interests and or have sentimental meaning; all objects pertaining to the creative inspiration that indulges the artists personality and influential evolution thus far.

III. Using once again, any medium, take a photograph of your face and attempt to deconstruct it and draw your own skull as it seems to lay beneath your flesh. use any angle you want, and presenting the photograph with the finished work would be ideal.

Note: If anyone else indulges in any of these little ideas, please tag me in your piece, i would love to see your work. :) (Smile)

I get this more often than not. It's unfortunate and I apologize :/
